I couldn’t find any OctoPrint plugin to help me with the process of calibrating and setting the correct Z probe offset, so I tried to realize this with OctoPrints custom controls. The goal was to avoid having to enter the Z probe offset manually and be able to use 0.02 mm baby steps to find the correct Z probe offset.
Eigentlich hatte ich schon seit langem vor, mir mal einen 3D-Drucker zuzulegen. Aber zum einen haben mich die Preise immer etwas abgeschreckt und zum anderen wollte ich mir lieber selber etwas bauen. So hab ich das immer vor mir her geschoben, bis ich mal zufällig über ein Angebot für einen Anet-A8-Bausatz gestolpert bin. Für knapp 130 Euro kann man es ja mal riskieren. Also ab damit in den Warenkorb und dann erst mal ein paar Wochen auf Lieferung aus dem Reich der Mitte gewartet.
